POLITICAL CAREER

The political career of Senator Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo started in 2011 when he contested for the office of the Governor of Gombe State and won under the People's Democratic Party (PDP). He achieved a remarkable victory in the election with a record landslide. His leadership and popularity were reaffirmed in 2015 when he was re-elected for a second term in 2015.

In 2019, he contested for the presidential ticket of the People's Democratic Party that was eventually picked by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar after high level political horse trading.

Heeding to the persistent call from his vast constituency in Gombe State, in 2023, he contested for the Senatorial seat of Gombe North, he won overwhelmingly, a testament to his political capital in the State.

Dankwambo's participation in the upper chambers of Nigeria's legislature is seen by the people of Gombe State as an opportunity to bring pro-people development to the people of Gombe North and Gombe State as a whole and an opportunity to bring his sterling knowledge and expertise in the administration of Nigerian political economy to the legislative arm of Nigeria's governance.
